Local Programs
Our education department offers a broad selection of presentations and workshops
that focus on various elements of personal finance. Most of the programs
are designed to appeal to specific groups such as, elementary and high school
students, college students, adult education groups, church and community
groups, business and government agencies and employee assistance programs
in the work place.
PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEM
In 1993, we initiated a partnership with the Council on Economic Education
in Maryland (CEEM) and the Delaware Council on Economic Education (DCEE)
to improve basic economic literacy in the public schools in grades K-12.
The approach is to train teachers to teach courses that provide economic
knowledge and decision making skills to their students.
HIGH SCHOOLS
CCCS will conduct workshops to juniors and seniors stressing the responsibility
of the wise use of credit and the possible consequences if mishandled.
ADULT GROUPS
Our presentations and workshops provide the basics on budgeting, personal
money management personal credit management and understanding credit reports.
Each program can be tailored to meet the specific needs of your group.
